High Five!

That’s right folks, we’re officially five years old. Can you believe it? Mommy and Daddy just keep raising his eyebrows and shaking their heads.

Five years ago:
Taylor Lynn: 5 lbs. 8 oz., 18 3/4 in.
Riley Elaine: 5 lbs. 7 oz., 18 3/4 in.

Today:
Taylor Lynn: 46 lbs. 12.8 oz., 43 in.
Riley Elaine: 48 lbs. 0 oz., 43 3/4 in.

Football

We went to our first real football game last night. We did not watch it on tv, we were actually there. Jeremys team played and they won. We are pretty sure it’s because of all the great cheering we did. We loved watching the blue team (Tri county ) knock down the white team (Carroll). We also really liked watching the cheerleaders and the band. We would really like some of those pom poms so we could show them some our moves. We made through the entire game and were so so so good.

Mommy side note. It was so awesome to watch the girls take in this first experience. Something so simple yet so amazing.

Kindergarten!

That’s right we are officially big. We started school this week and we love it! There are 9 kids in our class. We are in the same class this year so mommy hope that goes but we are all excited for all the adventures this year will bring.

Fair Days

Well, this year’s fair season started off with a trip up to white county to see Grandpa’s new tractor in the parade. We got there a little early so we could take in some of the fair goodness. First we filled our bellies up with corndogs then some ice cream while we watched the dog show. After a few trips to check out some animals very briefly, it was time to watch the parade. We watched the whole parade and Grandpa was the very last tractor. He said that next year we could ride in the wagon in the parade and Aunt Jill will ride with us, and we are so excited.

We made the rounds again and jumped in all the bouncing apparatus’ before grabbing and elephant ear and lemon shake up and heading home before it started to pour.

Today we got to go to the Tippecanoe co. fair with our friends from Kiddie Kollege. We left right after breakfast, first we checked out all the animals there, next up we got to eat our sack lunches that Momma packed for us. Now, the best part we got to ride rides, we were in different groups so we rode different things but we had a great time and we didn’t get rained on so, it was all the better.

Snack shack day 1

Today we headed to Delphi for our annual tradition and birth right, working the snack shack at the canal “festival”. Well we didn’t do too much we let Daddy do the majority of the work he grilled for 9 hrs straight. We did do a good job though of testing out the ice cream to make sure they were selling quality goods. We also got to play on the boat playground and check out the museum. We really liked playing dress up with Mariana.

Mommy and Daddy took us to the movies today, this wan’t just any movie it was Toy Story 3 in 3D. We each got our very own cool pair of glasses to wear while we watched the movie. We really liked how it was coming out of the screen. We sat thru the whole thing with no squirming! Mommy and Daddy were so proud!

Vacay day 2

So, we thought we had done all of the traveling part. However, Mommy and Daddy seemed to disagree. We got up hopped in the car with an overnight bag and headed north. They still had not told us what our special surprise was going to be. Well, about 30 minutes in to our 3 hour drive Mommy could not take it anymore, She could not keep the secret any longer. We are going to DISNEY WORLD!!!! (insert squeals of glee here for Taylor.) (insert a million questions here for Riley). We were now about half way into our journey and we decide to stop at chick fil a for some refueling and get “some of our energies out” on the outdoor play area.

After another long drive we finally made it to our destination Regal Sun Resort which was right across the street from Downtown Disney! We dropped our bags in our room and headed across the street to check out all Downtown Disney.

After a couple hours we had all the heat we could take so we headed back to the hotel to take a dip in the pool before heading to dinner.

After dinner, it was time to rest and get ready for our big day at the Magic Kingdom.
